ABOUT SAM
Samuel has been tap dancing since he was 5 years old. For over a decade he was trained by Eric Scialo in Montpellier and also studied regularly with Fabien Ruiz, joining him in performance at multiple international events (Dubai, Milan, Paris). In 2015, after studying sound engineering in Paris, he attended the "Professional Tap Training Program" at Escola Luthier Dansa in Barcelona, led by Guillem Alonso. Alongside the intensive training, Sam was able to develop his passion for swing and improvisation at the frequent and various jam sessions of Barcelona.
Since 2018 he is a member of the Sebastian Weber Dance Company, performing its latest contemporary creations (“Cowboys”, “Folk Fiction”, “Bats”, “Caboom”, and the operette “100 Passions”) in Germany and Europe.
Since 2019 he has been touring Spain regularly, dancing merrily with the Swing Machine Orchestra (“Paseando El Swing” tours).
Since 2023 Sam has joined the team of the percussive show Tap Factory, touring with them across Europe and onboard Royal Caribbean's cruiseships (Anthem, Odyssey, Serenade, Voyager and Wonder Of The Seas), visiting over 20 countries in the last two years.
He has been invited as a teacher for tap in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and Belgium (for classes, workshops and festivals).
He is also regularly attending workshops, intensives and festivals continues to perfect his skills with renowned tap dancers like: Guillem Alonso, Heather Cornell, Michelle Dorrance, Barbara Duffy, Dormeshia, Omar Edwards, Roser Font, Savion Glover, Derrick Grant, Josh Hilberman, Jason Janas, Kazu Kumagai, Fabrice Martin, Laia Molins, Anthony Morigerato, Andrew Nemr, Sarah & Leela Petronio, Max Pollak, Sarah Reich, Roxane Butterfly, Jason Samuels Smith, Joseph Wiggan, Cartier Williams, etc...
